A person, who should NOT have gained entry into our country in the first place, is to be awarded a four figure sum because a translator wasn't available.
It's not the 1st.April is it?

I am a UK expat now living in Spain and ever since we have been here we have, and still do, had to pay for our own translators for everything form Police reports, hopital visits and any legal requirement. So how come the people visiting the UK get it for free and then get compensation when it is not provided, I thought we were all part of the same European Community but obviously I am mistaken. - Chris Smithson
